Candace Cameron Bure Responds to ‘Rudest Celebrity’ Accusation from JoJo Siwa

Candace Cameron Bure said there's no room for beef in her full house. 

The former Full House and Fuller House star addressed fans on Instagram Tuesday after JoJo Siwa called her the “rudest celebrity” she'd ever met in a viral TikTok video. 

In a “special edition” of a series she calls “Candace's Car Chronicles,” the 46-year-old said that she called Siwa to reconcile and find out why she'd been branded as rude by the teen star. In the original TikTok video, Siwa, sitting poolside, revealed her celebrity superlatives, including the nicest star she'd ever met (Miley Cyrus), the coolest (Elton John), in addition to the rudest. 

“Honestly, I was shocked when I saw the TikTok on Sunday, and had no idea where it came from,” Cameron Bure said in the clip filmed in the front seat of her car. “I immediately tried to reach out to her through a mutual friend.”

The pair eventually got in touch, and spoke on Wednesday morning, Cameron Bure shared: “She said, ‘Hey, how ya doing,’ and I said, ‘Well, I’ve been better.’” Siwa then told her she hadn't expected her video to blow up like it did, and that the encounter the 19-year-old perceived as rude had been “silly.”

“She told me, she didn’t want to tell me because it was so silly she felt bad, because it wasn’t a big deal to her,” Cameron Bure related.

The actor replied, “Well, it was a big deal, but what did I do to you?” 

Cameron Bure then went into detail about their conversation, telling followers that the pair had first met at the premiere of Fuller House in 2016, when Siwa was 11 years old—a few years before they appeared together on The Kelly Clarkson Show.

Siwa told the actor that she had asked to take a photo with her, and she had replied, “Not right now,” before proceeding to take photos with others.  

“I was like, ‘Oh, JoJo, I’m so sorry,’” Cameron Bure said, “and she goes, ‘You weren’t even mean, and I get it now as an adult when you’re on the red carpet and everything’s happening and you’re being pulled in different directions, but at that time I was 11.’ And I go, ‘And I kind of broke your 11-year-old heart.’” 

She said she apologized to Siwa, adding that things are now “all good on the JoJo front.” 

“We are both positive, encouraging people, and I told JoJo how much I've always appreciated her because she has been a good role model because of her positivity throughout her whole life and career,” Cameron Bure said. “She said she still loves watching Full House and watches it to fall asleep and it's a comfort show for her so we had all the feels and it was all good, and there's no drama. That's the tea.“
